PEOPLE OF THE WOOD

From a series of works done on pieces of found wood and shown at Victoria Munroe Fine Art in February of 2010. They exist, I suppose, somewhere between painting and sculpture. Gathering the wood was a real adventure. I roamed through vacant lots, railyards, abandoned buildings, and dumps. Some of these places were pretty spooky and made me worry that, instead of finding another perfect "canvas" for the project, I might come upon a snake, a zombie, or a corpse. Ah, the things we do for our art!
