ARE WE THERE YET?

Both these murals were commissioned by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority way back in 1982, but because of changes to the building's design, they were not executed and installed until almost fifteen years later. Each mural is 7' x 30' and painted in enamel on steel.

The murals are about travel, both actual and imaginary, and the South Station Transportation Building is a fancy name for the bus station. The murals are the last thing a traveler sees before boarding the Greyhound for Albany, Bakersfield, or Katmandu.
